Absorbent Gelling Material (Also called Super Absorbent Polymer) as a Non-toxic, harmless, nonpolluting polymer with good water absorption and water-holding capacity widely used in Diaper& Lady Sanitary Napkin.
Less Residual Monomer
Faster Absorbent Rate& Small Particle Size
Good Performance at Absorption under Pressure
We use absorbent gelling material in the padding of our diapers to absorb wetness. This material has a long history of safe use in a variety of products and has been in Pampers and Luvs diapers for more than two decades. Absorbent gelling material (AGM) is closely related to ingredients widely used in cosmetics, in food processing, and as binders in medicine capsules. When added to our diapers, the AGM is dry and granular, but it forms a gel as it absorbs liquid. It’s perfectly normal to see some gel on the skin from time to time, especially if the diaper is heavily saturated.
It might help to know the Institute for Polyacrylate Absorbents has researched the safety of consumer products containing absorbent gels and found them to be safe.
Absorbent gelling material is a special material with excellent water absorption properties. The ability of this material to rapidly absorb and retain large amounts of liquid or moisture has led to a wide range of applications in a number of fields. Their preparation typically involves mixing different types of hydrogel-type particles, which may have different absorption capacities (AAP values) or specific physical properties (e.g., TCC values). The blended materials can exhibit synergistic effects, resulting in an overall absorption performance of the mixture that is higher than that predicted for the individual components.
Absorbent materials in diapers are crucial components designed to quickly and efficiently capture and retain urine and other bodily fluids.
